Start your day early:

Make a point to get up earlier in the morning. Starting your day early will help to keep you distraction free as you don’t have to worry about delay, deadlines, traffics, etc.

Care for yourself

Take a walk around the block. Feel the freshness of the air, the quality of the light and the sounds of the morning. Feel the ground beneath your feet. Give yourself a massage to get your blood flowing. Aim to get your blood and lymph system flowing, your muscles relaxed but awake.

Meditate:

Sit comfortably with your eyes closed. Feel the support of the chair or floor beneath you. Check in with your body and notice where you are holding tension. A simple, 20 minutes meditation will make your refresh and relaxed. Besides, it also helps to reduce your anxiety, tension and stress.

Exercise daily:

Move your body. Use a stretching routine from your gym, personal trainer or yoga class. Sun salutations are a good way to start the day and give you a full body workout. Practicing exercise everyday is not only useful to your physical health but also your mental health. Regular exercise helps to decrease the production of stress hormones, such as cortisol, and neurotransmitters that are secreted during the stress response.

Enjoy your meal:

Most people tend to ignore the importance of lunch, due to their over hectic schedule. It is recommended that everyone should enjoy their lunch without any distraction. People should take small bites and enjoy the texture and taste of their food. This will not only de-stress you, but also help you enjoy your food.

Learn to share:

Learn to share your problems and responsibilities with others, as you can’t do everything by yourself. If you force yourself to do so, you will just end up running everything.

Quality family time:

Spend proper time with your loved ones mainly in family. Staying late in office never helps in productivity, however eating meals together, talking about the events of the day, sharing joys and defeats, doing household chores together and spending some evenings popping corn and watching movies in family gives a chance of sharing quality experiences which relaxes our body.

Sleep well:

To face your battle in the morning, you need adequate rest, thus never compromise on your sleeping pattern. A good sleep will help you to concentrate better and work.
